Giving Tuesday 2025
Since 2004, the 18th Street Singers have thrived as part of Washington, DC’s vibrant performing arts community. As an all-volunteer ensemble and nonprofit organization, we owe our success to the support of community members like you.
GivingTuesday is a global day of generosity dedicated to supporting the causes and organizations that matter most. For the 18th Street Singers, it is one of our biggest fundraising opportunities of the year and helps us keep dues free for our members, premiere new choral works, and keep ticket prices accessible.
This year an anonymous donor will match all donations up to $5,000,
doubling the impact of every gift!
As you consider the organizations you will support this year, we hope you will think of us. Your generosity will support essential mission work and special projects such as:
Free student tickets — inspiring the next generation of musicians and music lovers
“Pay what you can” tickets — eliminating financial barriers for audiences
Rehearsal and performance spaces — safe, resonant spaces where our music can soar
Music licensing — all the music we sing is purchased with a license for every singer to have their own copy
Guest artist and composer collaborations — bringing new music to life and celebrating living composers
Retreats — singers make music and memories at weekend retreats away twice per year at no cost to members
