Winter's Night: 18th Street Singers Winter Concert

  • First Trinity Lutheran Church 501 4th Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20001 United States (map)

EXCITING UPDATE!

We are thrilled to welcome Icelandic composer Magnús Ragnarsson in-person to our concert series for the North American premiere of his work, "Messa."

Join us!

Concert Theme:

Entering into the world of night can be a peaceful or a frightening thing. Some find the dark cold and isolating, a reminder of death; while others take comfort in the stillness and calm, meditating in the wonders of nature.

This season, Winter’s Night explore all of those sides. Together we hear the Northern Lights dance with Ēriks Ešenvalds, we welcome a red rider, and we traverse the lush chords of a newly composed mass, "Messa," by Icelandic composer Magnús Ragnarsson in its North American premiere.

Then leaving behind the world of winter, we bring light and hope with pieces such as "My heart be brave" by Marques L. A. Garrett and "A Quiet Night - Tyhoyi Nochi" by Natalia Tsupryk; our sounds unbroken and free.

Join us Saturday, January 27th @ 7pm (in-person SOLD OUT & livestream) & Sunday, January 28th @ 4pm (in-person only) for this concert series!
