Thank you for signing up to audition!

Our audition location for most dates is First Trinity Lutheran Church, right by the Judiciary Square metro stop (on the Red Line). If you've selected a Sunday audition slot, we'll be in touch to let you know where auditions will be held.

We'll ask you to do some or all of the following: warm-up exercises, sight-reading, listening exercises, singing a one-minute solo in any genre that shows off your voice (we will cut you off after one minute!), and singing an excerpt of "O Magnum Mysterium," linked HERE. No need to memorize "O Magnum," but please be familiar with the part that you typically sing. This excerpt will help us learn about your choral tone, even if your solo isn't a choral piece. Being asked to do more or fewer of those items isn't an indication of whether we like you!

You've signed up for a thirty-minute time slot, and we'll spend a few minutes one-on-one with each of the three people who signed up for that thirty minutes, in the order in which you arrived (meaning you might have to wait a few minutes). After you've finished, you're free to leave. You'll audition for Ben (our music director), and potentially a handful of other group members.

If you are running late the day of your audition, please just come to the location and we'll fit you in when we can. No need to notify us. Please contact auditions@18thstreetsingers.com with any questions you may have.

We can't wait to meet you!
